Overwhelmed? Lean on Lucy

  • I provide practical and emotional postpartum support to families with new babies. I come to you - whether that’s in hospital or at home, during the day, evenings, and overnight.

    How I can support you:

    • A listening ear and a calm, non-judgemental presence

    • Preparing nourishing meals (some for right now, some for the freezer!)

    • Light housework

    • Caring for older children or pets

    • Support for partners

    • Creating space for you to rest, shower, eat, and take a breath

I care for you, so you can care for your baby.

To learn more about the types of support I offer and how to get in contact, visit my Offerings page.

    • Full presence for your family: With no tamariki of my own, I bring complete flexibility and energy to your home - showing up when you need me, for as long as you need.

    • I handle the load so you can rest: think warm, home cooked meals, folded laundry, and clean sheets. I take care of the mess, and look after you so that you can heal, rest, and be present with your baby and your family.

  • No. You don’t need to be at breaking point, and you don’t need to have everything planned out either. Some people reach out during pregnancy to plan their postpartum with me, others contact me when they have a 2-month-old and things feel overwhelming. All parents are worthy of support, no matter what stage they’re at.

If you’re wondering whether support would help, that’s reason enough to get in touch.

  • You can reach me through my Contact page, by sending me an email, or giving me a call.

From there, we can connect in whichever way feels easiest - a coffee, a walk, a video call, or I can come to your home to meet you and your family. The goal is simply to get to know each other and see whether I’m the right support person for you.
